While systematic propositions have their place in the church, God primarily reveals Himself through dynamic literary forms that target the mind, emotion, and imagination alike. This course provides a biblical-theological survey of the Old Testament poetic books, highlighting their unique role in God’s unfolding revelation to humanity. Students will examine the relationship between solid doctrine and poetic expression, equipping them to appreciate how Old Testament poetry deepens both theological comprehension and Christian worship.
